People in Wenatchee, Ellensburg, Camas, Toppenish, Sunnyside, and Richland are speaking up for our neighbors - the nursing home staff and residents at the nursing homes bought by PACS:
Richland Post Acute
Sunnyside Healthcare Center
Linden Post Acute (Toppenish)
Mountain View Post Acute (Ellensburg)
Colonial Vista Post Acute (Wenatchee)
LaCamas Creek Post Acute (Camas)
PACS, a $6.7 billion out-of-state corporation that makes billions a year off taxpayers and nursing home residents, recently bought these and other nursing homes in Washington, most of them in rural communities like ours.
PACS pays its top 6 executives more than $27 million collectively, yet it refuses to pay a fair wage to the people who care for nursing home residents. That impacts all of us, taking money from our local economies and small businesses.
The safety of nursing home residents and staff are also on the line. Low wages can lead to high staff turnover, which is linked to more pressure ulcers, pain, and urinary tract infections in nursing home residents.
It’s time for PACS to PAY UP to its hard-working nursing home staff.
